Games And Ladders

You can associate a tournament to any kind of game/gametype. This allows tourney.cc to use the matches played during your tournament to create a ranking of players and/or teams that play the game. Such a ranking brings a number of advantages to tournaments, such as:

1. automatic seeding of ranked contestants
2. an extra incentive to participate in your tournament
3. a ladder tab on the site with a ranking of all players

Tourney.cc does so by aggregating the match results of all tournaments for a given game and calculating each participant's rating based on the Chessmetrics formulas. The result is a ladder, like you'd see it on ClanBase or ESL with the potential of being much more accurate.
